Signal Fires - COVID-19 FAQs

How are you making the performance COVID secure?

The entire event will take place outdoors and you will always be 2m apart from any other household bubbles, staff or performers.  We are keeping audience capacity very limited to ensure it is always easy to maintain social distance. Ushers will be on hand to help guide you safely around the space.

For parts of the event that are seated, there will be benches for two people spaced 2m apart. If there are more than two people in your household booking, this means at some points you will be seated apart.

There will be a cashless bar where you can order drinks to be delivered to the benches you will be sitting on at the start of the event.

You may be given objects to handle during the event. These will have been thoroughly sanitised and will not be shared with anyone outside your household.

There will be hand sanitiser points on site.

Am I required to wear a mask or face covering?

We politely request that you wear a mask, visor or face covering during the performance. You may remove it when you are having a drink.

What will happens on the evening of the performance?

There will be a socially distanced queue to enter the grounds. Please wait for your whole household to arrive, then join the queue leaving at least 2m to the household in front.

We will be opening the grounds 10 minutes before the start of each performance.

You will be invited one household at a time to the outdoor box office who will check your tickets and take your details for Track and Trace. They will also check your temperature. You will then have a chance to order a drink at the bar before being shown to the bench where you will be seated for the start the performance.

For much of the performance, you will be assigned a group of two benches (ie up to 4 people). If you are in a household of 3 or 4, we will try to keep your household together.

At the end of the performance, you will be shown out of the yard.

What about the cast and creatives?

We have an extensive series of processes and measures in place for this project to create a work environment that is COVID secure. This covers every aspect of the working day. During the performance itself, the artists will be maintaining a distance of 2m throughout.

What happens if the performance can’t go ahead?

We are paying close attention to government guidance. If we are unable to go ahead because of a change in restrictions or a key team member being required to isolate, we will contact you as soon as is possible. You will be entitled to a full refund.

What will happen if I book tickets but then have to self-isolate or have symptoms?

If you have symptoms or are required to self isolate, you should not attend the event. Please let us know and we will refund your ticket.

I am coming on my own. Can I buy a single ticket?

Yes you can. It just means that you will be sitting on a bench by yourself.
